How do I get my sims to look like?

I’ve noticed that some of the pictures I see of sims are gorgeous, their skin is shiny and so is there hair. Mainly the look more realistic. People say they are maxis sims..is that a hack? How do I get my sims to look like that?

Do you play The Sims 2? Is it true there are/aren’t controls over the bisexual relationships?

IF YOU PLAY SIMS 2:
I understand it has been said it is possible for the sims to be forced into ********** relationships. What I am curious about is if they will develop these relationships without any assistance of the player … or will they ALWAYS be attracted to the opposite *** unless driven to do otherwise?
This will help settle an ongoing debate between friends (both players and non-players), none of whom program for Maxis or EA and can shed some light better than the ambiguis references on their website.
Does any know of a mod/patch/cheat/hack they will limit the sims to being heterosexual?
