Many of the shoes i have been searching are made for the typical square toes but i am the opposite of that. My toes have a U shape but i also have my second toe the longest. These would be my first point shoes, i know i should go to a store and get fitted but i have no stores nearby. my ballet slippers were ordered online and they fit great.

I need some help..PLEASE!

So, I’m curious why it is that some people in my ballet classes use ‘two-part’ shoes? There’s a toe piece, and a heel piece connected with elastic bands. I hadn’t seen them used until I moved states, before all I had ever seen was the traditional ballet slippers. Are these better? What are their selling points? It seems like they would have less arch support than ballet slippers already lack.

I am taking a lyrical class this summer and was not sure what to wear. What is appropriate? Should I buy ballet slippers? Do I need tights?

I’m going to go get my first pair of ballet slippers on Monday! I’m a college freshman and I have discovered that I absolutely LOVE dancing, so no better time to start then the present… I am taking my first class in the fall. I just was looking for some suggestions on ballet slipper type. Canvas or leather, which do you prefer? Why? I also read somewhere that it is a good idea to buy 2 pairs of shoes so they can properly dry out in between classes, but I didn’t know if people actually did that. IIs there anything I should do between now and August to kind of “break in/get used to” my shoes so me feet don’t **** me after the first few weeks? Any advice on what I should make sure to ask my sales person is appreciated also. Thanks a ton!
For anyone who thinks I am taking a class with little girls, I did state that I am in college; therefore, I am taking ballet through my college with other COLLEGE girls. It’s a class for women who are not dance majors. Just women who enjoy dance. I hope you didn’t mean for it to be discouraging when you try to talk me out of doing, but don’t. Please unless it is encouragement, just answer the question.
