how do i find a driver for my sound card i got a card from a friend and i dont have the soft ware for it all?

   Check google for your Hardware.

   Check it’s type exactly… it must be written on it somewhere. Then you can download it from this site:

   Search for drivers in these sites.

   or else just google for “Sound card driver ur sound card model no (written on big chip on PCB) and OS name.

   Example : Sound card diver for CMI 7358 Winxp driver.

   my friend I’m not sure if you installed the sound card yourself or not, but if you did take it out and look for the make or look at the Part # there should be a part # on the sound card itself then you can search online for it, it shouldn’t be hard to find. I built a computer for a friend of mine and we had to do that, I’m not sure how old your sound card is. so look for the # on the sound card but make sure when you take it out you don’t have any static electricity so touch a metal part before you take the sound card out. good luck
